INTRODUCTION TO TRAIL RUNNING

WHEN: 7.30pm Thursday 2nd May, 9th May, 16th May, 23rd May, then 6th June, 13th June, 20th June and 27th June (8 weeks)

COST: £80 for 8 week course (or £30 top up if on our Unlimited Plan)

WHERE: Reigate Rugby Club, Colley Lane

Your experienced qualified coach (RLiRF and FLiRF - Fell/Trail leadership in running fitness) will lead you on a one and a half hour trail run round the trails of Reigate to enjoy the beautiful countryside and fantastic trails, whilst building fitness, stamina, burning calories and increasing muscle tone, but most importantly to have fun and feel absolutely fantastic.

Each week will concentrate on uphill and downhill techniques, plus warm up and cool down exercises. By the end of the 8 week course is to have built confidence to embrace any of the uphill and downhill trails on Reigate Hill, feel fitness levels have increased and learnt techniques to help day to day running, either on or off road.

Kit:

Trail shoes if possible but not essential, alternatively trainers with some grip. Please bear in mind that terrain can be muddy, slippery and stoney in places.

Comfortable light weight running clothing, thin layers are the best. A good sports bra is essential ladies!

Light weight windproof/waterproof jacket if you have one.

Water will be provided at the top.
