From Beginner to Bold: Meet Chantelle, Our July Runner of the Month

Meet Chantelle, our July 2025 Runner of the Month at Reigate Ladies Joggers. She joined RLJ through our April Beginners Course and has been going from strength to strength ever since. Her story is a perfect reminder that with a little courage, consistency, and support – anyone can unlock their inner runner.

From First Steps to Double Sessions!

When Chantelle signed up, she was simply looking to improve her fitness. Like many of us, she hesitated at first, watching our flyer pop up on social media before finally deciding to go for it. Fast forward a few months, and she's now a familiar face at multiple RLJ sessions – sometimes even two in one day! From peaceful Early Birds to our high-energy Friday Track Fitness, she’s embraced every challenge with open arms.

"I didn’t expect to keep going or be so committed. But I feel fitter, stronger, and more motivated – both physically and mentally!"

Falling Forward – Literally!

Running isn’t without its bumps (or in this case, tumbles!). Chantelle took a fall during a Monday night run – something many of us can relate to – but she bounced right back up and carried on. That moment summed her up perfectly: determined, unshaken, and completely focused on the bigger picture.

“The support from the group keeps me going. Everyone is so encouraging – you push through together.”

More Than Just Running

Chantelle’s journey has had an impact far beyond running shoes and finish lines. With a growing sense of structure and balance, she’s learned how to carve out time for herself, build healthier routines, and stay consistent no matter what the week throws her way.

“I’m more organised, more in control, and I feel proud of how far I’ve come.”
